THE DESIGN-BUILD PROCESS

At W.E. Bowers, we approach every design-build project as a collaborative team effort. The process begins with extensive project research, including multiple interviews with the building engineer and/or facility manager, and a thorough job site inspection. The result of this initial research phase is a clear understanding of the project, including a detailed outline of the client's goals and objectives.

The research phase also helps Bowers determine whether or not the project is complex enough to warrant additional design resources, can be designed by our in-house CADD engineers, or simply requires one of our proven prototype designs to meet the client's needs. Once this has been determined and the design is underway, the project becomes the ultimate responsibility of the service department's construction professionals.

Bowers welcomes one-of-a-kind, fast-track project challenges, involving the following specialized facilities, systems, and equipment:

  • Data centers

  • Telecommunications facilities

  • Energy management systems

  • Air handling unit retrofit and replacement

  • Chiller replacement

  • Cooling tower replacement
